THE UPPER YOUGHIOGHENY RIVER

The Upper Yough, conveniently located near Deep Creek Lake, MD, is one of the most thrilling whitewater trips that you can experience on the East Coast. This river is rated Class IV-V rapids and features a steep drops and a stretch of continuous whitewater that is several miles long. This trip is fully guided and includes lunch.

This river is not for the faint of heart; it drops 116 feet per mile. An experienced guide is provided in each raft for your safety and enjoyment. Previous rafting experience is suggested. Minimum age for this trip is 16. All of our rafting trips depart from Friendsville, MD. Your confirmation letter will include details on where you are to meet for this trip.
